Ordering more than quantity 1 via our cart

Our cart system has both a weight and packaging size associated with the item you are ordering, and the live shipping rate calculation of the cart does a good job of getting an accurate rate for ordering a quantity of 1.

If you order a small quantity of the same item, lets say 2 or 3 or 4..... the cart still does a reasonable job of getting a shipping cost that is quite accurate.  But it does think that each item will be in its own box.  We normally place multiple items of the same product into one box, saving packaging and usually shipping cost.

At some point as you increase the quantity of the item being ordered the shipping cost will start to climb in excess of actual cost - so for cases where a customer orders multiples of the same item, we will review that actual cost of the shipment and if the cart has over-charged for the shipment we will automatically issue you with a refund for the difference.

Shipping cost errors for multiple quantities of an item will be bigger for physically larger and heavy items. We double check all shipment costs and will automatically correct your billing.

This does not apply to collect shipments charged to your shipping account, where the shipping cost will be very accurate.
